Clinical
I approach my clinical work through a systemic lens, recognizing how social, political, and institutional forces shape identity, mental health, and access to care. My background in advocacy and policy work informs my therapeutic approach which centers intersectionality, lived-experience, and systemic structures alongside evidence based clinical practice. My clinical approach is multicultural, feminist, systemic, and trauma informed - allowing for clients respective identities and lived experience within complex social systems to be reflected throughout the entire therapeutic process.I prefer to take an integrative approach to treatment, incorporating my therapeutic approach to the individualized needs of each client. Certain therapeutic modalities that we might use together include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Psychodynamic, and Solution Focused therapies. I view therapy as a collaborative process in which you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to gently guide you through self-exploration in order to cultivate healing and fulfillment, improve emotional regulation and coping abilities, and improve interpersonal functioning and quality of life.
Pricing
As a clinician and activist, I strongly believe in the importance of de-colonizing therapy. As such, I currently do not accept insurance and operate as an out of network provider. This decision reflects a thoughtful divestment from insurance practices that often limit clinical autonomy and restrict access to care. Instead, I offer transparent, self-pay services, and a sliding scale based on income and ability to pay.
