Andrea Hall Stachniewicz

 is a Columbia University alumni with over ten years of experience as a multidisciplinary  licensed mental health counselor, political strategist, mental health policy consultant, and community organizer.

Andrea is currently representing New York’s Assembly District 36 holding party office as duly elected Judicial Delegate, advocating for alternatives to incarceration, increased community mental health initiatives, and protecting civil liberties across New York City and state.

Andrea has consulted with numerous electoral campaigns on mental health policy initiatives to address barriers to care from a legislative standpoint. She has also held a leadership role in political organizing with former presidential candidate

Bernie Sanders.

 

In addition to her political work, Andrea continues to maintain a private practice in which she provides direct clinical treatment in specialized individual therapy, clinical supervision, and offers workshops on burnout prevention for activists and community organizers.
